據 Apple 方面表示， 他們正計劃將利用在儲在海外的2000億美元的收益，投放在 Music 及 TV 的發展，雖然 Tim Cook 未有詳細披露具體的內容，不過據知他們會積極拉攏更多第三方單位為 Music 及 TV 製作新的功能及影視內容。初步的計劃可能是 手機 Karaoke 及 一些實況節目，當然電影、劇集等內容亦會陸續增加。有分析認為 Apple Music 及 TV 的付費用戶人數已經超過 1.5 億，隨著功能和內容的增加，未來將影響傳統的有線電視企業。更相信在可見的將來 Apple TV 等網絡影視平臺將會全面改變人們使用電視的習慣。
