兩月前本刊曾撰文 Sony 宣布為電視提供 Apple TV App ，當時內文就曾提及 Apple TV 有機會預載至 Google Chromecast with Google TV 等 Android 裝置。早前 Google 於官方網誌正式公佈，明年初會加入此項服務。
Google Media & Entertainment 的 負責人 Jonathan Zepp 在網誌中表示， Apple TV app 會加入在全新的 Chromecast with Google TV ，他特別提醒 Apple TV+ 是需要付費訂閱。用戶操作時，能存取原有購買的影片，而且家庭裡能分享給六個家庭用戶。故此 Chromecast with Google TV 為大家提供多一項串流頻道支援。
至於 Chromecast with Google TV ，亦可因此提供建議娛樂節目用家也可建立日後觀看名單（ Watchlist ）。他最後提及 Apple TV app 能支援 Chromecast with Google TV 外，日後也會支援 Android TV OS。不過隨著更多的智能電視會加入 Apple TV，甚至連來年推出的多款電腦屏幕都會加入 Google TV 功能，可以不用透過電腦都可以開啟包括 Netflix 及 Youtube 等串流平台，其實大家還有需要購買 Chromecast 嗎 ?
